The Department of Science and Technology – Central Office (DOST-CO) is in need of qualified applicants to fill up the position of One (1) Project Development Officer III (SG-18)Item No. OSEC-DOSTB-PDO3-2-1998 under the Office of the Undersecretary for Research and Development  - Special Projects Division (SPD). Applicants must meet the following requirements of the position:

Minimum Requirements
Education :

Bachelor's degree preferably in natural/applied sciences, engineering and related fields;
With masters degree or a post-graduate course related to the job would be advantageous

Experience : Two (2) years of relevant experience in handling programs/projects preferably in an action-oriented government setting
Training : Eight (8) hours of relevant training
Eligibility : Career Service (Professional) / Second Level Eligibility
Job Description :

1) Conducts studies and gathers resources/materials to be used in the development and implementation of S&T programs/projects in support of national development priorities;
2) Assists in evaluating and monitoring the progress of the implementation of S&T programs/projects in accordance with set standards, objectives and schedules;
3) Assists in the formulation of appropriate policies and strategies necessary in the implementation and evaluation of results of S&T programs/projects;
4) Assists in the programming and re-programming of DOST-GIA funds for S&T programs/projects;
5) Prepares staff actions, technical reports and other related special programs/projects;
6) Assists in the formulation of measures to coordinate and intensify S&T programs/ projects; and
7) Performs such other assignments as may be given from time to time.
