Would like to share data on expenditure shares across regions from the Philippine Statistics Authority. These include data on household final consumption expenditure, government final consumption expenditure, gross capital formation and net exports.
In 2017 data (% distribution, at constant prices), the regions with the highest household consumption expenditures are – Region V, ARMM and Region VIII. These regions also have the highest negative net exports. Only the NCR, CAR and Region XI registered positive net exports. What stands out is that, most regions that have high shares of household consumption, which are offset by large negative shares of net exports, tend to be those that have low levels of gross regional domestic product, both in absolute and in per capita terms.
