In the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs), eight anti-poverty targets had been set to be achieved by 2015 and the Philippines only made some progress. Poverty has not been ended. The development agenda called “Sustainable Development Goals” builds on the MDGs. The proposed framework has 17 goals with 169 targets. The UN Summit for the adoption of this post-2015 development agenda will be held from September 25 to 27, 2015 to be convened as high level plenary meeting to be attended by countries worldwide. How far can we go this time? How can we contribute? Please see attached Businessworld issue of July 22, 2015.
