The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) in partnership with the Australia Awards and Alumni Engagement Program (AAAEP) and Queensland University of Technology (QUT) has successfully held the closing of its training program called, “Developing Capacity in Process Analytics and Enterprise Architecture for Improved Service Delivery,” last June 9, 2025 at the DOST-Science and Technology Information Institute Mini-Theater, DOST Science Complex, Bicutan, Taguig City.

The program is the culmination of a seven-month training and coaching initiative aimed at equipping DOST personnel with critical skills in enterprise architecture and business process model and notation to improve public service delivery.

The seminar was moderated by lead coach Mr. Andre Fournier with experts delivering their messages which include Dr. Alistair Baros and Dr. Rehan Syed of QUT, alongside DOST Secretary Renato U. Solidum Jr.

“We challenge you to transform these innovative ideas into realities beyond the 'As-Is' and 'To-Be' proposals,” said Solidum. He also encouraged participants to submit their project proposals for possible funding and operational implementation.

Australian Ambassador HK Yu and Economic Counsellor Luke Villiers also extended their congratulations, recognizing the participants’ efforts through the showcase of their Re-Entry Action Plan video presentations.

The four teams that presented their outputs were the following:

  1. DOST Central OfficeOptimizing Service Delivery through Process Analytics and Enterprise Architecture Integration
  2. DOST Regional OperationsStrengthening Coordination and Resource Management for Efficient Regional Service Delivery
  3. DOST Scientific and Technical ServicesStreamlining Scientific Information Generation and Dissemination
  4. DOST Governing CouncilsEnterprise Architecture and Process Improvements for Enhanced Council Services

This initiative reflects DOST's continued commitment to innovation, capacity building, and evidence-based public sector improvement through international collaboration and advanced methodologies.
