To embrace advancement in technology, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST)recently collaborated with Argentina's IMPSA and tackled the topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI) via video conference.
The main focus of the discussion among the speakers from the DOST, Department of Energy (DOE), and IMPSA included: 1) renewable energy development and policies, 2) AI working methodology, 3) neural networks and genetic algorithms and their application to the industry, 4) AI early detection of anomalies in hydroelectric power plant equipment, and 5) DOST’s initiatives on AI.

In pursuit of sustainable development, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) together with the European Commission Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD), with the support of the Enhanced EU-ASEAN Dialogue Instrument (E-READI) and the ASEAN Secretariat S&T Division hosted the EU-ASEAN Dialogue on GreenTech& Innovation Mapping: Green Technologies for Plastic Value Chain Management Webinar Series. Philippines, Argentina hold bilateral talk on nuclear cooperation

Recently, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) had a productive dialogue with representatives from the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship, and INVAP Company to discuss the peaceful applications of nuclear energy in medicine, agriculture, and energy production.
The bilateral talk was led by Ambassador Linglingay Lacanlale of the Philippine delegation and Augusto Ceasar Granada, Argentina's Chargé d' Affaires in the Philippines, who headed the Argentine delegation.
