During the launching of the DOST-TAPI Roadmap and Stakeholders’ recognition on 13 May 2022 at the Novotel Manila Araneta City, Quezon City, outstanding DOST-TAPI employees received due recognition for their hard work and exceptional performance in 2020 and 2021.
The Institute’s Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) Committee as well as the Human Resource Section carefully selected the employees who received the Director’s Award for Excellence, Most Innovative Award, Achievers Award, Loyalty Award, and Service Award.

DOST-TAPI reveals new programs on invention development, commercialization, and marketing

The Technology Application and Promotion Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-TAPI) launched programs of assistance to innovators during the launching of the DOST-TAPI Roadmap and Stakeholders’ Recognition on 13 May 2022 at the Novotel Manila Araneta City, Quezon City.
For three and a half decades, DOST-TAPI has accomplished milestones year after year in promoting technology transfer and commercialization, and administering invention-related development through the provision of the Invention Development Assistance Fund.
The Launching of the DOST-TAPI Roadmap and Stakeholders’ Recognition was held on 13 May 2021 at the Novotel Manila Araneta City, Quezon City.

The Roadmap of the Technology Application and Promotion Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-TAPI) was officially revealed during the Launching of the DOST-TAPI Roadmap and Stakeholders’ Recognition on 13 May 2022 at the Novotel Manila Araneta City, Quezon City.
DOST-TAPI Director, Atty. Marion Ivy D. Decena laid the strategic plan of the Institute including the desired goals and outcomes from 2023 to 2032 and beyond.

DOST Region I kick starts community empowerment program in Adams, Ilocos Norte

In its effort to sustain its initiatives in combating poverty and promoting resiliency among marginalized communities in the Province of Ilocos Norte, the Department of Science and Technology Region I (DOST-I), through the Provincial Science and Technology Center-Ilocos Norte (PSTC-IN), has expanded its implementation of the Community Empowerment thru Science and Technology (CEST) program to the Municipality of Adams, Ilocos Norte for 2022.
To kick start the program, the Community Needs Assessment (CNA) activity was launched and conducted on 12 April 2022 at the Municipal Auditorium of Adams. The CNA was spearheaded by DOST-PSTC IN Provincial Director Engr. Benjamin S. Mercado Jr. together with DOST-PSTC staff and DOST-I Regional CEST Coordinator, Decth-1180 Libunao, and staff, in partnership with the Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), the official academic institution partner of DOST in Ilocos Norte.
