DOST net satisfaction rating climbs to +57

The survey results conducted by a third-party survey company for 2020 found that among the 98% of Filipino adults who are aware of the Department of Science and Technology or DOST, 66% are satisfied with the performance of the Department with a very good net satisfaction rating of +57. This is an improvement from the very good net satisfaction rating of +51 in December 2019.

The PTRI Textile Gallery, Design and Innovation Hub is envisioned to become a maker space where fashion designers, textile manufacturers, textile marketing professionals, researchers and students can create, experiment, and execute their ideas that will bolster and revitalize the local textile and fiber industry.

TIMPLADO makes stronger ‘barako’ coffee with DOST training on food safety

LIPA CITY, Batangas – Ala eh! Timpladong tamang tama!, In fact, TIMPLADO, an offshoot company of Circa 1740, underwent a two-day training on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to further strengthen, not only their barako (Liberica) coffee blends, but more so their food safety measures in preparation for the opening of its additional markets this year.
There were 13 employees, mostly newly hired, who attended the training on food safety standards in different production processes conducted on 25-26 January at the TIMPLADO Coffee Shop located in Barangay Mataas na Lupa, Lipa, Batangas.

DOST supports PH economic recovery program

A year after the COVID-19 pandemic struck the country by surprise, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) has remained steadfast and is still on high gear as it continues to implement innovative projects and programs that will address, not only the health crisis but, also help boost the efforts of the national government on its economic recovery program.
Taking off from the “Bayanihan to Heal as One” initiative of the government, the DOST has now put into maximum overdrive several projects to support the NEDA-led Task Group on Recovery dubbed as the Recharge PH program that involves three sub-task groups composed of different government agencies.
