The Department of Science and Technology - Forest Products Research and Development Institute (DOST-FPRDI) is set to launch an exhibit that will celebrate the local art of pandan weaving, and showcase the versatility of pandan for high-value products.
Opening on July 1, 2025 at DOST-FPRDI’s Forest Products Innovation and Training Center (FPITC) in Los Banos, Laguna, the exhibit INTERCONNECT3D: Lalang Pandan will explore exciting new directions and design potential of pandan weaving in the Philippines.

A “Power Walk” activity during the 2025 Gender Sensitivity Training (GST) for newly hired DOST-Central Office employees, illustrating social inequalities and diverse lived experiences within the community.
Recognizing the importance of fostering an equal, inclusive, and respectful workplace, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), through the Gender and Development (GAD) Unit, conducted the 2025 Gender Sensitivity Training (GST) with the goal to enhance understanding of the basic concepts of gender, modifying the perceptions and behaviors associated with GAD, and cultivating a gender-sensitive culture within the workplace.

Solidum says DOST is ‘good’ and ‘improving’; vows to continue efforts in climate and disaster resilience

Science and Technology Secretary Renato U. Solidum Jr. recalled how Science, Technology, and Innovation has improved in providing solutions and creating opportunities for all, through the years.
“Over the years, we’ve seen how science and technology can bridge gaps and DOST has reached communities, even those that were once considered too far or too difficult to serve,” Solidum said.
