Choosing the right track may be the hardest decision for some Senior High School (SHS) graduates. Most of them are unsure of the course they may take at the tertiary level; although they are on a specific track already, there is still a lot to consider.
Under the K-12 curriculum, SHS students may choose from General Academic Strand (GAS), Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS), Technical Vocational (TechVoc), and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). These tracks help the students to prepare for their chosen career paths at the tertiary level.

DOST-MIMAROPA gears up for 2025 regional S&T week in Occidental Mindoro

Key programs to enhance industries such as the Innovation Hubs or iHUBS will be the focus of this year’s celebration of the 2025 Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW) on May 28-30, 2025, at Occidental Mindoro State College in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro organized by the Department of Science and Technology-MIMAROPA.
iHUBS are support facilities for early-stage startups, researchers, students, OFWs, MSMEs, and innovators by providing collaborative work areas, mentorship, and access to resources. It is one of the various programs that will highlight the 2025 RSTW.

Tomato can survive short-term flooding when planted along with rice––study

A study published in the Philippine Journal of Science revealed that a tomato, mixed-planted with rice can survive short-term flooding during its vegetative stage and produce good crops.
According to the Department of Agriculture (DA), tomato is an important and popular vegetable grown in all parts of the country, and it is also regarded as one of the most profitable crops during the dry season.
