The Department of Science and Technology - Forest Products Research and Development Institute (DOST-FPRDI) is seeking future partners to utilize bamboo technologies through a forum scheduled for November 28, 2024, at Sapphire-Topaz, Luxe Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City.
As part of the 2024 National Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (NSTW) with the theme “Siyensya, Teknolohiya, at Kinabukasan: Kabalikat sa Matatag, Maginhawa, at Panatag na Kinabukasan” and the sub-theme “Providing Solutions and Opening Opportunities in the Green Economy,” the event supports the call for a greener economy.

To further reinforce its commitment to delivering timely and accessible science and technology (S&T) information to the Filipino people, the Department of Science and Technology - Science and Technology Information Institute (DOST-STII) conducted its second Basic Records Management Training on November 19, 2024.
DOST and PCCI Launch Pioneering Technology, Business, and Innovation Hub: A Historic Leap for Philippine Science, Technology, and Industry

November 19, 2024, Manila, Philippines—The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) celebrated a new era of innovation with the launch of the DOST-PCCI Technology, Business, and Innovation Hub at the PCCI Headquarters, Commerce and Industry Plaza, McKinley Town Center, Fort Bonifacio Taguig City. This pioneering Hub marks a milestone in the Philippines' drive toward a knowledge-driven, innovation-led economy.
The launch event was led by DOST Secretary Renato U. Solidum, Jr. and PCCI President Consul Enunina V. Mangio, alongside PCCI Chairman Emeritus Sergio R. Ortiz-Luis Jr., PCCI Executive Vice President and Director for Science, Technology, and Innovation Ferdinand "Perry" Ferrer, DOST Undersecretary Sancho Mabborang, DOST Assistant Secretary Dr. Napoleon Juanillo, Jr., and other distinguished members of the PCCI Board, diplomatic corps, and local chambers.
Cebu Biology Students Learn to Create Popularized Science Content

Biology students from various tertiary institutions in Cebu City now have ideas on how to craft stories and content for their research projects that are suitable for various platforms, such as print, online news sites, and social media channels.
The Department of Science and Technology - Science and Technology Information Institute (DOST-STII) extended its advocacy program, 'Science Journo Ako,' to 40 Biology students from six colleges and universities in Cebu City. This activity was conducted in partnership with the Cebu Association of Biology Students (CABS) Incorporated and DOST Region VII.
