DOST explores opportunity with Argentine’s IMPSA

On 30 March 2021, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) met with His Excellency Augusto César Granada, Argentine Ambassador to the Philippines, to present Industrias Metalurgicas Pescarmona S.A. (IMPSA). IMPSA is an Argentine company with a century of experience in developing expertise and technology products for renewable energy power generation and nuclear power plant equipment. The company is also involved in the CBK Hydro Power Generation project in Luzon. It is worthwhile to mention that the firm’s expertise focuses on renewable energy, hydropower systems, Artificial Intelligence, and other designs of nuclear components.
Philippines and Hungary to pursue STI cooperation

To further promote international cooperation in the fields of science, technology, and innovation, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) together with the Philippine Space Agency and the University of the Philippines Visayas, pursued a productive dialogue with respective Hungarian colleagues with lead representation from the Embassy of Hungary in Manila.

DOST eyes collaboration with SCE on food safety, other S&T initiatives

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST), through the assistance from the Philippine Embassy in Singapore, recently initiated exploratory talks with Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) on 23 April 2021.

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region II, together with DOST Regions VI, IX, XI, XII, and CAR, jointly conducted the iFWD PH program orientation for the first batch of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).
