The DOST Day Care Center (DDCC) convened a significant milestone of its children through a Moving Up Ceremony, held on May 23, 2025, at the Philippine Science Heritage Center. Guided by Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it,” the event highlighted the DDCC’s mission as a second home for children, where they learned not only to read and write but also to distinguish right from wrong.

Exploring the Walled City of Intramuros has become easier, smarter, and more interactive with the launch of the innovative “Intramuros App.”
This app was recently introduced during a ceremonial memorandum of agreement signing at the Centro de Turismo in Intramuros, Manila. The event was attended by representatives from the Department of Science and Technology-National Capital Region (DOST-NCR), the Department of Tourism’s Intramuros Administration (IA), and CIIT College of Arts and Technology.

DOST, Australia concluded training partnership to improve public service delivery

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) in partnership with the Australia Awards and Alumni Engagement Program (AAAEP) and Queensland University of Technology (QUT) has successfully held the closing of its training program called, “Developing Capacity in Process Analytics and Enterprise Architecture for Improved Service Delivery,” last June 9, 2025 at the DOST-Science and Technology Information Institute Mini-Theater, DOST Science Complex, Bicutan, Taguig City.

Study reveals Zambales town as highest source of natural hydrogen gas

A recent study revealed that natural gas from the Nagsasa seep in San Antonio, Zambales, has the highest recorded gas seepage capable of producing renewable energy to meet the power demands of the town.
These gas seeps, also known as “outgassing,” have released a record 800 tons of geologic hydrogen. This amount surpasses the previous record of 200 tons reported in Albania in 2024.
