The Science and Technology Information Institute (STII), the information and marketing arm of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) received two Grand Starex 2.5 CRDi GLS 5AT from Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. as donations to be used for the operations of the institute’s official broadcast channel, DOSTv.
The formal turnover ceremony was held on 24 November 2021, 9:00 AM, at the DOST-STII Office in Bicutan, Taguig City.

The cities of Cabuyao and San Pedro in the province of Laguna are aiming to have a more coordinated plan and response during times of natural disasters such as earthquake with their adoption and installation of USHER or the Universal Structural Health Evaluation and Recording, a technology developed through the support of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
The ceremonial turnover was held on 24 November 2021, spearheaded by the DOST-CALABARZON, as part of the 2021 National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) celebration.

Innovation is not just technologies, says national academician

Pagtanaw 2050: The Philippine Foresight on science, technology, and innovation, a 360-page compendium of technologies with 550 bibliographic references, is a national strategic plan, crafted by 335 various representative stakeholders from 53 government and higher education institutions, and 12 non-government organizations coming from all over the country.
“It is an innovation of systems, not just technologies,” Academician William G. Padolina, said during the turnover ceremonies of the Pagtanaw 2050 at the National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) celebration, when asked how the science, technology and innovation (STI) strategic plan can be operationalized.
