A DOST assisted cooperative signed a licensing agreement for the adoption and production of iron-fortified rice (IFR) in the province of Pangasinan.
This was held during the 2025 North Luzon Innovation and Technology Transfer Summit recently at the Newtown Plaza Hotel, Baguio City.

Department of Science and Technology Secretary Renato U. Solidum, Jr. led the Philippine Delegation at the United Nations Multi-stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals at the UN Headquarters in New York on May 7-8, 2025.
At the Forum’s ministerial session entitled, “Harnessing science and technology for the effective delivery of sustainable, resilient, and innovative solutions”, Secretary Solidum showcased the Philippines’ efforts in utilizing science, technology, and innovation to bring solutions both locally and in the international community with partner developing countries.
